C.J. Burn, CRPC® (WealthWise Mapping Process)
C.J. has developed a unique client profile over his 25 years in the financial services industry. The relationships that are the best fit for his WealthWise Mapping Process typically have all of the three characteristics below:
1) they have paid off all revolving debt (i.e. credit cards)
2) they have a reserve established in case of emergencies
3) they see value in having a financial plan
Take a moment to learn more about the WealthWise Mapping Process that C.J. executes with his clients.
The first step in the WealthWise Mappping Process is simply a discussion. During that discussion, a prospective relationship will share who they are, what goals they have, how they process information best (i.e. visually or verbally, etc..), what their past experiences are managing their wealth and what their forward expectations are working alongside a Financial Advisor.
The second step is all on CJ. He'll do his homework to prepare a first draft plan of your life's goal mapping. The objective of this step is to better understand where the prospective relationship is on their path to their goals and what return is required from their investments (if any) in order to accomplish their goals over time.
During the third step, C.J. will work with the prospective relationship's team of professionals (i.e. tax advisor, insurance advisor, etc..) or his own strategic partners to design the appropriate financial plan recommendations that they believe will progress the client toward their intended goals. Once the solutions are identified and agreed upon, they'll be seamlessly implemented.
The most important step is on-going. The monitoring process is designed to understand the past (how has your plan performed), the present (where are your current risks) and the future (where do we see opportunities and risks ahead to your plan) and making the necessary adjustments to address the risks and align with the opportunities. And this is executed over and over again.
There are no fees charged until a prospective relationship reviews and approves a recommended plan of action. C.J.'s reasoning for not charging for the WealthWise Mapping Process (steps 1-4) is because during the plan creation process, the prospective relationship is getting to know if C.J. is the right fit for them and C.J. is understanding if the prospective relationship is the right fit for the practice. More importantly, he doesn't feel like he can present a thorough recommendation until he's defined what is needed to accomplish their goals. Worst case, a prospective client leaves with more clarity around where they are on the path to their goals than when they started the process.
